DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT TO TRY ON WEDDING DRESSES AT THE BRIDE LAB? Yes! The Bride Lab is open by appointment in order to provide you with a one-on-one personal styling consultation. You will have a dedicated bridal consultant helping you throughout your appointment with selection of gowns, dressing, and styling advice. We offer complimentary weekday appointments, Saturday bookings are subject to a $25 appointment booking fee. All of the wedding dresses we stock at The Bride Lab are exclusive to us in South Australia, meaning you won’t find them anywhere else in Adelaide! WHAT IS THE PRICE RANGE OF WEDDING DRESSES AT THE BRIDE LAB? The price range of wedding dresses in store at The Bride Lab is approximately $2000 – $8000, with majority of our gowns priced between $4000 – $5000. For a breakdown of each designer’s pricing, please check the relevant designer page on our website, or alternatively, our booking form also lists this information. WHAT SAMPLE SIZES ARE AVAILABLE IN STORE? We stock our sample gowns in a range of sizes from 10 – 26. While we have a large range in sizes 12/14, we also stock a selection of gowns in sizes 16-26. To see the specific gowns we have available in our curve range, take a look at the CURVE section of our website. Keep in mind that bridal sizing generally runs small, so you may find that your wedding dress is ordered in a different size to your normal street size. Don’t worry about the number and focus on how amazing your gown makes you feel! If you are concerned about sizing, are generally above or below this range, or have any questions at all, feel free to drop us an email and we will be more than happy to discuss options. WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT MY APPOINTMENT? A relaxed and stress-free experience in a beautifully designed space! We aren’t pushy and not into ‘sales’, but rather hope to find you a dress that you feel amazing in for your special day! Appointments are scheduled for one hour which is generally sufficient to try about 6 – 8 gowns (depending on how efficient we can be!). Someone will be with you to help you into and out of each gown so please wear something you are comfortable in – skin coloured underwear generally works best. CAN I BRING MY BRIDE TRIBE? Absolutely! As we are a small boutique, we can accommodate 3 guests with each bride. On the other hand, if you are a bride who knows exactly what she wants, it’s totally fine to come by yourself too! If you have a larger group, please book our VIP appointment, which comes with a bottle of South Australian sparkling wine, chocolates, and an extended 90-minute private use of our boutique. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO ORDER MY WEDDING DRESS? While this varies from designer to designer, the ideal time on average is 8-12 months before your wedding. This allows time for your gown to be carefully handmade, delivered, and for any final alterations. Don’t stress if your wedding is less than 8 months away, we also have a selection of gowns that are available to purchase off the rack, and many of our designers also offer a rush service for an additional fee. Already found a dress that you love? Don’t wait until the minimum order time, as occasionally designers carry out price increases and may discontinue certain styles. Don’t forget, once you’ve got your dress locked in you have more free time to focus on bringing together all the other details of your wedding day such as accessories, hair, bridesmaids, flowers, and styling! ARE ALTERATIONS REQUIRED? When ordering a wedding dress from The Bride Lab, your measurements will be taken and a new gown will be made which correlates to your size on the designer’s size chart. In most cases, some final alterations will be required to ensure a perfect fit. While we do not offer alterations in house, we do work closely with a few trusted local bridal alterations experts around Adelaide and South Australia, who we can recommend. HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY APPOINTMENT? Saturday appointments can book out weeks in advance, so the sooner the better if you are looking for a weekend appointment.
